Two Regional Education Awards - "Lecturer of the Year" & "Innovative Educator of the Year" Reinforces Our Futuristic Teaching Philosophy!

Malaysian educator Galvin Lee Kuan Sian has been honoured with two major individual titles – “Lecturer of the Year” and “Innovative Educator of the Year” at the Global Education Awards 2025, held in conjunction with the Global Excellence Conclave (GEC) 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand on 6 December 2025. The regional awards recognise outstanding educators and innovators from 14 countries across Asia for their contribution to modern, impactful teaching and learning. According to the organisers, the awards honour educators who demonstrate “exceptional innovation, measurable learning impact, and forward-looking use of technology to prepare learners for future industries.”

Galvin is the Founder and Managing Director at Sri Sarjana Online Tuition, who leads the team behind the academic excellence of thousands of students across the country through futuristic teaching and learning pedagogy in online tuition classes. Sri Sarjana Online Tuition is a leading online tuition provider in all major subjects for Primary 1 to Form 5 students in Malaysia.

Over the past few years, he has emerged as a winner of the Gold Award in more than a dozen international higher education innovation competitions and conferences, recognised for designing learning experiences that are immersive, technology-enabled and deeply student-centred. Galvin additionally lectures in marketing modules at a renowned private college in Malaysia, using interactive synchronous learning formats that blend theory, industry cases and hands-on digital activities.

Commenting on the dual recognition, Galvin said: “That’s why I lean so heavily into AI, simulations and gamification, not as gimmicks, but as ways to create realistic practice spaces where students can experiment, make mistakes safely and see the consequences of their decisions. If they can argue with an AI persona, defend a campaign choice in a virtual mall and then connect that back to theory, I know we’re building skills that will travel with them far beyond the exam hall.”

Looking ahead, he adds: “This recognition from the Global Education Awards gives me a bigger platform and responsibility. I hope to continue sharing practical frameworks, tools and templates with other educators in Malaysia and across Asia, and to connect my classroom innovations with rigorous research so we can show not only that these ideas are exciting, but that they truly improve learning.”

Born and raised in Kuching, Sarawak, Galvin has built a consistently strong academic record from school through to postgraduate level. Recognised early for his scholastic and co-curricular achievements, he went on to complete multiple degrees with distinction, including First Class Honours qualifications in Finance and Economics from the University of the West of England and Taylor’s University, as well as an MBA in Marketing from the University of Bedfordshire in the United Kingdom.

Galvin is currently a PhD candidate in Marketing at Universiti Malaya’s Asia-Europe Institute, where his research focuses on dynamic pricing, consumer trust and online purchase intention in Malaysia’s e-commerce sector. His dual identity as both an active lecturer and an early-career researcher allows him to bring cutting-edge marketing theory, contemporary research findings and real industry cases directly into the classroom. He is also recognised as a Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE) Expert of Class 2025-2026.

The team at Sri Sarjana Online Tuition congratulates and celebrates this landmark achievement, which inspires and propels our mission to provide premier education for all Malaysian students.
